House II: The Second Story

***DISCLAIMER*** The following review is entirely my opinion. If you comment (which I encourage you to do) be respectful. If you don't agree with my opinion, that's fine. To each their own. I am just sharing my opinions and perspective. Finally, the reviews are given on a scale of 1-5. 1, of course, being terrible. 2, being not great. 3, being okay. 4, being good and 5, being epic!

House II: The Second Story - 3 out of 5

The cheesy pun alone is enough to automatically give this movie a 3 out of 5 but the fact that this movie is actually pretty fun to watch only works to solidify this rating.

A follow up to the dark comedy starring William Katt that makes no reference to the original and acts on its own storyline about a new owner of a strange home (Arye Gross) finds a reanimated corpse of his great uncle and a mysterious crystal skull (that Indiana is NOT after) that has mysterious powers. The house acts as a focal point for dimensions as a slew of characters are out to get their hands on this powerful skull.

The movie isn't something to write home about but as long as you understand going into it that it is meant to be a fun, dark comedy and not a serious horror film, you will have a good time with it. Especially the section of the movie where John Ratzenberger shows up!

The acting is decent and the story is fun which makes this movie a decent film to sit down with and just have a good time for an hour and a half.
