Damien: Omen II

***DISCLAIMER*** The following review is entirely my opinion. If you comment (which I encourage you to do) be respectful. If you don't agree with my opinion, that's fine. To each their own. I am just sharing my opinions and perspective. Finally, the reviews are given on a scale of 1-5. 1, of course, being terrible. 2, being not great. 3, being okay. 4, being good and 5, being epic!

Damien: Omen II - 1 out of 5

Despite the first movie being absolutely fantastic, the Omen's franchise is quite possibly the worst in horror film history as the sequels take it into the fastest nosedive to ever be seen. The instant the second film starts, you are in for extreme mediocrity. The body count increases but the deaths are so silly, you find yourself laughing rather than cowering in fear. However, the biggest crime this sequel creates, and spoils the integrity of the origina,l is the terrible casting of the demon spawn child; Damien. In this movie, he is played by Jonathon Scott Taylor and he possesses one of the most annoying voices I have ever heard. In fact, his voice and portrayal makes the devil's son--a being of incredibly power and evil--come off as limp-wristed nancy-boy. Being an atheist, this sequel only confirms my belief there is no higher power (or lower power for that matter) because if the Damien portrayed in this movie could in fact be the Damien in real life (though it could never happen, can't have a spawn of Satan when Satan doesn't exist) I have nothing to worry about when it comes to evil entering the realm of Earth.
