The Passion of Greg the Bunny: Best of the Film Parodies Vol. 2

***DISCLAIMER*** The following review is entirely my opinion. If you comment (which I encourage you to do) be respectful. If you don't agree with my opinion, that's fine. To each their own. I am just sharing my opinions and perspective. Finally, the reviews are given on a scale of 1-5. 1, of course, being terrible. 2, being not great. 3, being okay. 4, being good and 5, being epic!

The Passion of Greg the Bunny: Best of the Film Parodies Vol. 2 - 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the short lived Greg the Bunny series on Fox but these film parodies on the Independent Film Channel don't deliver the laughs in the way the series did. Sure the puppets get to swear and get away with more but it still doesn't change the fact that the material they are working with isn't that funny.

Okay, some of the film parodies are smart, witty and made me laugh but too many of them would boil down to scenes of Greg and the camera crew arguing (A HUGE problem that plagued the first collection). Seriously, this happened in nearly every parody. Sadly, most of the satire delivered on the films is completely forgettable even though the shorts would have a nice guest appearance by some great names (for example, Jon Favreau and Seth Green). The only parody that really stood out and was memorable was the one about Dogville.

While not great parodies, there are some laughs to this collection. Basically, it's worth a once over and the chances of you picking it up again are slim to none. If you like the character of Warren the Ape, Count Blah and Greg the Bunny, rent this one from Blockbuster or Netflix. The lack of replay value makes this collection a rental, not a buy. If you want to own some Greg the Bunny, get the complete series that aired on Fox.
